I totally agree with that! The supernatural elements are just to draw you in. Take away the vampire/werewolf stuff and it’s basically the same thing you see on every daytime soap opera. The only appealing part of the story as-is would be having Edward as my willing love slave, LOL. With the Cullens she’s basically taken all the danger and excitement out of vampires, and that’s the thing that makes vampires appealing to me in the first place. I’d much rather be a nomad than a Cullen, and it would have made for more exciting reading if Bella had to choose that life over her human life. In the end she doesn’t really sacrifice anything.

Because they never act like a couple. If they acted like one, I would believe that they are dating. But I simply don't see anything remotely similar to a couple when I see them. I think she’s just really awkward about PDA and keeping it all a secret and everything and he’s not but he goes along with that to make her happy (like most guys do) so that’s why it seems like there’s something “off” about them as a couple. That’s more believable to me than it being some contract thing they have to do for the movies.

I think people like “Robsten” because they don’t really know anything about them as a couple, so they can fill in all the blanks with silly fanfic about promise rings, PDA and cooking in their underwear. That’s why their relationship seems so stupid and pathetic, because it’s being written by 12-year-old Twilight fans and horny old ladies who read E L James. And the hilarious thing is they think they are “supporting” R/K by doing this, when they’re really just making them look like immature morons. I’m totally embarrassed for Rob and Kristen. Imagine if some of Rob’s colleagues thought this stuff was true, it must be mortifying to have to explain it.

Anon, it’s totally cray cray. I haven’t seen anything like this in any other fandom. They act like they own these people. And it’s not just one side, the Nonsten side also posts about how “disappointed” they are by Rob every time he goes somewhere with her. Why? Even if you don’t believe they are dating she’s still his friend. If you’re so “disappointed” here’s an idea: don’t follow his personal life. You’re the one choosing to do that. You can just follow his movies and stuff and ignore the rest if you want to, it’s really easy to do.

I think you’re making kind of a big leap here, just because someone says they believe in sexual freedom doesn’t mean they are a swinger. For all we know she could be saying that stuff to promote the movie.
